Reading and Writing Workshop: February 2013

Teaching Reading to Teach Writing: 

We begin with a thesis: Writers learn the conventions of any new genre by learning to read it more attentively.  From that premise, we’ll ask how we can help our students become better readers of scholarly prose, and how they might use that practice to strengthen the essays they write.
